PERRYVILLE — The Perryville City Treasurer has released the latest sales tax receipts.
According to the information received from the Missouri Department of Revenue July general sales tax receipts totaled $177,737.00, which is down nealry $19,000 from the same month last year.
Despite that, the receipts for the first seven months of 2023 are up more than $13,000. So far this year, the tax has brought in nearly $1.24 million.
The city’s two other sales taxes showed a similar pattern.
The mass transportation tax brought in $88,868 in July, which is down $9,476 from July 2022, yet the year to date total is $618,077, up about $6,552.
The capital improvements tax brought in $66,651, which is down more than $7,100, but the year to date total is up nearly $5,000, totaling $463,558.
The consolidated use tax brought in nearly $70,000 in July, which is up $10,504. So far this calendar year, the tax has brought in $365,695 an increase of more than $50,000.
