CHESTER – There are new stop signs in Randolph County, prompting county officials to post this on social media:
“There have recently been stop signs added to a few (Randolph) County side roads due to the increased traffic volume.
“All stop signs have been approved by the State of Illinois.
“The approaching road with the lower traffic volume is to stop for the higher traffic volume road.
“These roads include:
The East and West ends of Buttercreek Road
Plum Creek Road and Lessley Road
Prest Road and Kelly Road
“The local residents in these areas have requested these changes and they have been deemed necessary to insure safety.”
