JEFFERSON CITY — An 18-year-old Valley Park man was hurt in a traffic crash on Route B in Ste. Genevieve County Wednesday morning.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Matthew J. Mudd was taken to Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital by ambulance for treatment of minor injuries.
The patrol says the crash happened when the nortbound 2002 Lexus 300 ES Mudd was driving north on Route B failed to negotiate a curve to the left, and traveled off the roadway. The driver over-corrected and the Lexus returned to the roadway, only to travel off the left side of the roadway, striking a ditch and road sign and overturned into a fence. The Lexus came to rest on its top on the left side of the road.
The crash happened about 7:09 a.m. near Rigdon School Road.
The Lexus had extensive damage.
