PERRYVILLE — Fire units from the area were called out Monday afternoon to a field in the 300 block of Trails End off Highway 61 north of Brewer, by a report of a tractor on fire, setting the field ablaze with a threatened structure nearby.
Witnesses said one man was hurt, with possible serious injuries, but details are not available.
According to reports, the fire in a cut wheat field, spread to about 20 acres in all, but burned no structures.
Sheriff Jason Klaus provided the first four photos to the Sun Times News Online. The rest were posted to social media by the Ste. Genevieve Volunteer Fire Department.
