A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 23, 2023 for 88-year-old Gloria J. Mueller of Frohna, Mo. who passed away Monday, June 19, 2023 at her residence.
She was born November 13, 1934 in Farrar, Mo. to Claus H. and Frieda M. (Koenig) Steffens.
She and Ralph Mueller were married at Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar on May 7, 1955.
Survivors include two daughters: Mary (Kennith) Whitlock of Shawneetown, Mo. and Sue (Tom) Roth of Altenburg, Mo.; two sons: Richard (Kristi) Mueller of Altenburg, Mo. and Steven Mueller of Perryville, Mo.; two brothers: Donald (Florence) Steffens of Perryville, Mo. and Allyn (Christie) Steffens of Perryville, Mo.; a sister: Georgia (George) Koehler of Ohio; eight grandchildren: Jacob (Sarah) Fiehler, Nicholas (Sarah) Fiehler, Anna (Nicholas) Fisher, Jeremy (Katie) Roth, Morgan (Kellen) Lopez, Austin Mueller, Aaron Mueller, and Matthew Mueller; and eight great-grandchildren, Ella and Vivian Fiehler, Aubrey and Everly Fiehler, Jonah and Zoey Roth, Ronin and Aryia Lopez.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers: Wilbur, Omar and Herbert Steffens, three sisters: Lenora (Roland) Winter, Florence (Walter) Sweeney and Ellen (Russell) Lewis, two grandsons: Wade Fiehler and Christopher Roth and a granddaughter: Jenna Roth.
Gloria was a transport tech in radiology for Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar, Ladies Aid and the church choir.
She was also a Sunday school teacher and 4-H leader.
Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Friday, June 23, 2023 at Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar.
