Illinois Engineers applaud President Biden’s signing of federal infrastructure bill

SPRINGFIELD – The American Council of Engineering Companies of Illinois (ACEC-IL) released the following statement regarding President Biden’s signature of the federal infrastructure bill:

“Over the next five years, the federal infrastructure bill will invest over $17 billion in Illinois alone. That means billions of dollars dedicated to rebuilding and redesigning interstates, repairing and replacing bridges, and expanding and modernizing airports,” said Kevin Artl, president and CEO of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Illinois. “The American Council of engineering Companies of Illinois and our members around the state applaud the bipartisan support for this legislation along with the leadership demonstrated by President Biden’s administration for championing these critical improvements to our state and nation’s physical infrastructure. Illinois’ engineers are ready to get to work to make these historic investments a reality for our state.”
