CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO – The application for admission to Southeast Missouri State University for fall 2024 has officially opened.
“This is one of the most exciting times of the year,” said director of Admissions Lenell Hahn. “As we’re working to get our incoming first-year students ready to start college this fall, it’s also time to turn our attention to the students who will begin in fall 2024. As applications come in, we start accepting students and get ready to welcome an entirely new class of Redhawks to campus next year.”
The recommended deadline to submit the fall 2024 application for admission is Dec. 1. Undergraduate applicants are automatically considered for many scholarships when they apply. Seventy percent of students qualify for Southeast’s Copper Dome Scholarship program.
“This process helps incoming students because they don’t have to complete extra applications for those scholarships and there is no application fee,” Hahn said. “We make it as simple as we can, so it can be more enjoyable and less stressful for students choosing the next chapter in their lives.”
Students can apply to Southeast and be considered for scholarships with one form online at semo.edu/apply.
“It is a big decision for families, and Southeast is committed to being a resource and supportive as families begin their college journey,” said Hahn. “In addition to a simple process and a generous scholarship program, we have a variety of ways for students to tour campus, see facilities, and talk with faculty to see if SEMO is the right fit for them.”
Personal campus tours are available Monday through Saturday. Prospective students can register for any admissions event or schedule a tour at semo.edu/visit. There are also videos and information including deadlines and admission requirements at semo.edu/admissions.
