PERRYVILLE – The first ozone report of the season is out.
The report covering March 1 to April 1 shows air quality data from both the Bonne Terre and Farrar monitoring stations in Missouri indicate that the air quality was generally good during this time period.
The average ozone level at Bonne Terre was 33 ppb (parts per billion), while Farrar averaged 34 ppb. Both of these averages fall within the “Good” Air Quality Index (AQI) range of 31-40 ppb, as per the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS). The highest ozone reading reported for both monitors was 59 ppb, which is classified as “Moderate” on the AQI, still well within the NAAQS standards.
Overall, the air quality at both monitoring stations was within the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS), indicating good air quality.
