CHESTER —The Easter Lillies on the Altar at the First United Methodist Church in Chester on Easter morning were in memory of friends and/or family members of 11 different church members.
Those members are as follow:
Steve and Kathy Belcher, in memory of their parents;
Jim and Vicky Beers in Memory of family and loved ones;
Jeanna Kleinschmidt in memory of the Gordon-Kleinschmidt families;
Denny and Cheryl McDonald, in memory of Waldo & Francie McDonald;
Ruth Rednour, in memory of Harold Montroy;
Gwendy Garner in memory of her sister, Charmaine Dunge;
Tom & Tracy Welge, in memory of family and loved ones;
Jeanne & Ken Wagner, in memory of Bus & Maev Brown;
Bill & Pat Nanney, in memory of loved ones;
Janet Muzos in memory of Lawrence & Berniece Lipe; and
Phil & Mary Beers, in memory of Phil’s parents, Gordon & Nan Fredia Beers.
This practice is a long-time tradition at FUMC Chester and helps to not only remember friends and loved ones but helps to beautify the sanctuary each Easter.
