PERRYVILLE — Audiences are in for a treat this weekend as the Silver Dagger Players present the non-musical version of “Meet Me In St. Louis.”
The show dates are Thursday, Nov. 11, Friday, Nov. 12, and Saturday, Nov. 13. Tickets are purchased at the box office each evening. All performances begin at 7 pm in the Performing Arts Auditorium at Central Office (the Old Senior High), and the show is appropriate for all audiences.
“This is not the musical version of the show, but it follows the same plot as the famous movie,” said Director Jennifer Birk-Cook. “A busy middle-class family in 1904 St. Louis is excited about the start of the World’s Fair. Then Dad brings home news that they will suddenly have to move to New York! The family isn’t thrilled with this idea, and craziness happens.”
The cast includes Noah Bergman as the father, Mr. Lonnie Smith and Phebe Dunker as his wife, Mrs. Anna Smith, with Aubrey Wortmann as the understudy. Eldest daughter Rose is played by Aubrey Wortmann with Kathryn Broeking as understudy. Daughter Esther is played by Caitlyn Hoff with Broeking as understudy, daughter Agnes is played by Lydia Chotrow with Lilly Darwin as understudy. Tootie is played by Katelynn Starr with Adelynn Darwin as understudy. College-student son Lon is played by Wyatt Duncan. Grandpa Prophater will be portrayed by Damien Sneed, the cook Katie will be played by Jasmine Muench.
Valeska Feher is Mrs. Waughop, Bailie Aggson-Leffler is Ida Boothby, Trenten Myers is John Shephard, Jeffrey Redecker is Fred Gregory, Katie Clifton is Lucille Pentard, Mason Cottner is Mr. Dodge, Grant Hotop is Mr. Duffy, Xander Reed is the trolley conductor, Adelynn Darwin and Kathryn Broeking are the milk delivery team, Broeking is Miss Waughop and Lilly Darwin is the news girl.
