JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services continues to report a higher number of COVID-19 cases in Perry County than in Ste. Genevieve County.
The department reports Perry County had 55 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 during the seven day period ending November 5th for a daily average of 7.6. There were no deaths in the seven days ending November 5.
There were 12 new cases November 2, six on Nov. 3, 5 on Nov. 4, four each on Oct. 31 and Oct. 30, and three on Nov. 5.
Since the pandemic began there have been a total of 3,237 confirmed and probable cases and a death toll of 33.
The Missouri Department of Heath and Senior Services reports 37.2 percent of Perry County residents are fully vaccinated.
The Perry County Health Department has scheduled a Moderna COVID-19 vaccination clinic Wednesdays 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with walk ins welcomed at the office at 406 Spring Street in Perryville. The Moderna vaccine is also available on Mondays by appointment.

The Department reports Ste. Genevieve County had eight new confirmed and probable cases in the seven days ending November 5 for a daily average of 1.0 and no new deaths for a total of 2,419 confirmed and probable cases and 29 confirmed deaths since the pandemic began in March 2020.
There were four new cases in Ste. Genevieve County Nov. 1, two new cases Nov. 4, one new case Oct. 30 and Nov. 2 and no new cases Oct. 31, Nov. 4 and Nov. 5.
The Department reports 43.2 percent of the Ste. Genevieve County population is fully vaccinated.

The Department reports 6,649 confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 statewide during the seven days ending November 5. That’s an average of 949 new cases a day. The state also reported 11 deaths during the same period.
That brings the statewide total to 863,024 cases with 12,225 deaths. The Department reports 49.8 percent of the state’s eligible population are fully vaccinated.
