JEFFERSON CITY — A Patton man was killed and a Patton youth suffered moderate injuries in a traffic crash on Route JJ in Bollinger County Monday night.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 42-year-old Robert L. McDaniel Jr. died in the crash and a 17-year-old female was taken to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
The patrol says neither was using their seat belt.
The crash happened when a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe driven east by McDaniel crossed the centerline and struck a westbound 2016 Ford F-350 driven by the 17-year-old.
The crash happened about 10:10 p.m. Monday four miles south of Patton.
The Ford had extensive damage, while the Chevrolet was a total loss.
