A private funeral will be held for 70-year-old Kathie Hennemann of Lake Forest Estates, Mo. who passed away Sunday, February 12, 2023 at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.
She was born September 20, 1952 in St. Charles, Mo.
She married Stephen Hennemann on April 28, 1973.
She is survived by her husband: Stephen Hennemann of Sainte Genevieve, Mo.; two daughters: Elizabeth (Robert) Marcelino of Gilbert, Ariz., and Leslie (Nate) Lund of Saint Augustine, Fla.; three sisters: Marilyn (Bill) Colbert of Winfield, Mo., Tina (Terrence “Butch”) Lauritzen of Vancouver, Wash., and Michele (Steve) Schnelle of Moon Township, Penn.; three brothers: Joe (Donna) Boedeker of Elsberry, Mo., Tom (Lori) Boedeker of Elsberry, Mo., and Dave (Rhonda) Boedeker of Old Monroe, Mo.; grandchildren: Noah, Micah and Samuel Marcelino; and Erik and Emma Lund.
She was preceded in death by her father: Anthony Boedeker; and her mother: Mary (Nelke) Boedeker
Kathie was a wonderful outgoing cheerful person. She was an eternal optimist with a can-do attitude.
She ran her own highly regarded daycare business for 13 years in Minnesota and enjoyed a successful career as administrative and executive assistants in Omaha for Inacom and later Oriental Trading Company before retiring to Gilbert, Arizona.
She tired of the desert and yearned to experience the four seasons of the Midwest again, which she was able to do.
Most of all, she loved and protected her family like a mother hawk and absolutely adored spoiling her grandchildren.
She will be missed by many friends and family far and wide.
Services are private and a Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
