PAMELA K. KNOP, 68, of Smithton, Illinois, formerly of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 9:08 pm, Monday, February 6, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born to the late Henry and Leola (nee Smith) Eggemeyer on August 8, 1954 in Chester, Illinois.
Pamela married Gary Knop on June 8, 1974 at St. John Lutheran Church in Chester, Illinois; he survives.
She had worked at Menard Correctional Center in Chester for 26 years.
Pamela was a former member of St. John Lutheran Church in Chester, Illinois and current member of Zion Lutheran Church in Belleville, Illinois. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.
