James Wesley Geile, 81, of Perryville, Missouri passed away Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
He was born April 18, 1941 in Silver Lake, MO to Earl and Hester (Coffelt) Geile.
James and Shirley Ruessler were married June 2, 1962 at Assumption Church in Perryville, MO.
He was of the Catholic faith.
James worked as a line worker at General Motors, and a Local #513 as a heavy equipment operator.
He was a member of the River Hill Eagles #4034, Amvets Post #94, VFW #4282, American Legion Post #133, and the Saline Masonic Lodge #226 and was a 32nd degree Freemason.
James loved stock car racing, deer hunting, camping and mud racing in his younger days. Most of all he loved his grandkids and he would “spoil them and send them home.”
Survivors include son, Wesley (special friend Karri Moonier Kesterson) Geile; daughter, Nicole (Bryon) Seabaugh; two brothers, Donnie (Karen) Geile, Ronnie Geile; Three Sisters, Judy (Donnie) Amschler, Norma Waller, Dorothy (James) Hotop; five grandchildren, Joey (Jillynne) Geile, Holden Stortz, Alyssa (Dalton) Brewer, Kelsey Stortz, Jayden Rose Stortz; four great-grandchildren, Lexiss Geile, Jersi Geile, Naivee Stortz, Beckham Brewer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Hester E. Kline, Cozy Scherer.
A celebration of life will be from 4pm to 8pm on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at the River Hills Eagles Club #4034 in Perryville.
