Ste. Genevieve UM Extension will offer strength-training program for older adults

STE. GENEVIEVE, MO — From February 6 to March 30, University of Missouri Extension will conduct the Stay Strong, Stay Healthy program for older adults at the Ste. Genevieve County Health Department.

 

This free program offers 16 sessions on Mondays and Thursdays from 8:30 am to 9:30 am.

This program is designed to improve quality of life and activity levels.

 

Over the course of the program, participants will increase their strength and improve their balance. Other benefits include enhancing flexibility, strengthening bones, relieving arthritis, controlling weight, lifting depression, reducing stress, and reducing risk of heart disease.
