Mary Ann Bunselmeyer, 93, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 2:07 pm, Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IllinoiS.
She was born to the late Robert M. and Mabel M. (nee Brown) Clendenin on June 26, 1929 in Rockwood, Illinois.
Mary Ann married Harold Bunselmeyer on August 21, 1954 at Cora Presbyterian Church, Cora, Illinois; he preceded her in death on September 26, 1989.
For most of her life, Mary Ann was a farm wife, helping Harold and her boys with the farm animals and grain harvests. She also worked at Rockwood Post Office for several years and she was also a volunteer for Hospice of Southern Illinois.
She was a member of Cora Presbyterian Church, Cora, Illinois and the First Presbyterian Church in Chester, Illinois, where she served as an elder, trustee, deacon and was a member of the church choir. She was also a member of the Homemakers Extension. She loved her family and often reminisced the old days of her childhood. She enjoyed quilting and researching genealogy of her families.
