A memorial service will be held at a future date for 68-year-old Gary L. Runge of Red Bud, Illinois, who passed away at 10:48 pm, Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.
He was born November 8, 1954 to the late Roy and Viola (nee Brunkhorst) Runge in Red Bud, Illinois
Gary married Jeri Bievenue on November 29, 1982 in Belleville, Illinois; she survives in Red Bud.
He is also survived by two children: Heather (Bruce) DeBlanc of Red Bud and Chris Runge of Red Bud; four siblings: Melba Bierman of Sparta, Ill., Donald (Sandi) Runge of Evansville, Ill., Larry Runge of Modoc, Ill., and Debbie (Ron) Umbdenstock of Modoc; four grandchildren:
Grace, Ryan, Noah and Levi DeBlanc and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers: Edward and Richard Runge and a brother-in-law: Harol Bierman.
He was of the Lutheran faith.
He had worked as a foreman for Chartrand’s Equipment for over 35 years.
He enjoyed working on muscle cars, especially his 1979 Camaros.
It was Gary’s wishes to be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
