A celebration of life will be held at a later date for 85-year-old William “Bill” Jack Colburn of Bloomsdale, Mo., who passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2021 in Festus, Mo.
He was born August 3, 1936 in Neelyville, Mo., the son of Frederick Houston Colburn and Bertha Newton Colburn, who both preceded him in death.
He is survived by three daughters: Jerri (Terry) Bequette, Missie (Kent) Armstrong and Vickie (Paul) Buescher, all of Sainte Genevieve; a son: Mark (Special friend Carol) Colburn of Bloomsdale, Mo.; a sister: Bonnie Lindley of Glen Allen, Mo.; a brother: Sam (Carolyn) Colburn of Middletown, Ohio; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his wife: Marilyn Colburn; former wife: Linda Colburn; three sisters: Rosemary Wright, Capatola Whitehall, and Betty Sipes; and a granddaughter: Bethany Bequette.
Bill was a member of the Ste. Genevieve Elks and American Legion Post 554.
He enjoyed being on the farm and always had a good story.
Everyone knew “Uncle Bill” or “Wild Bill”.
There will be a Celebration of Life for 85-year-old William “Bill” Jack Colburn of Bloomsdale at a later date.
