Maximize Gifts to Minimize Taxes

CAPE GIRARDEAU – United Way of Southeast Missouri and SEMO CPA Company will offer a free Lunch & Learn on Thursday, November 17, 2022, from Noon to 1 p.m. Carly Bowles, Certified Public Accountant and Owner of SEMO CPA Company, will help attendees learn to “Maximize Gifts to Minimize Taxes” with the goal of reducing taxable income.

In this free, one-hour event, attendees will learn how to:
1. Donate stock or appreciated non-cash assets instead of cash.
2. Reduce taxable income with a year-end charitable donation.
3. Develop a charitable giving strategy to maximize savings over multiple years.

Although the event is complimentary, pre-registration is required. Attendees can register at unitedwayofsemo.org/taxes.

Carly Bowles, CPA, has over 15 years of experience in working in the accounting and tax fields and has been working in public accounting for over a decade. She graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in December of 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting. She maintains a current CPA license in the state of Missouri and is a member of the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In addition to tax services, Bowles provides auditing, payroll, bookkeeping services to private companies, governmental, and not for profit organizations.
