JEFFERSON CITY — A 28-year-old woman from Memphis, Tennessee suffered minor injuries in a traffic crash on I-55 in Perry County late Sunday afternoon.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Brittani N. Daniels was taken to Perry County Memorial Hospital by ambulance.
The patrol says Daniels was the driver of a southbound 2021 Hyundai Elantra when she fell asleep. The car ran off the left side of the road and struck the median barrier cables.
The patrol says she was buckled up.
The crash happened about 5:54 p.m. at the 123 mile marker.
The Hyundai received extensive damage.
