PERRYVILLE – Handshakes for Heroes is a way for Buchheit to honor and remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

Buchheit employees visit these local heroes and handout handshakes and gift baskets filled with individually wrapped goodies, Buchheit gear and Buchheit gift cards.

“Since their humble beginnings, Buchheit has always strived to support each of the local communities in which the retail stores are located. When natural disaster struck the Buchheit family, as the Biehle store caught fire and burned to the ground in 1986, the community banded together, and with their support, Buchheit’s opened in an outbuilding the next day.
