PERRYVILLE — The Perryville Police Department has released its latest reports.
21-year-old John Hiram Thompson III of Perryville was charged with stealing, resisting arrest and two counts of assault on a law enforcement officer.
Police say a patrol car was passing Mary Jane Burgers and Brew, 102 N. Jackson Street, September 8th about 9:48 p.m. when an employee flagged them down to report a shoplifting had just occured. The police were told a man had just taken a bottle of wine and fled.
The two officers were able to catch up to the man, later identified as Thompson, and place him into custody after subduing him.
