A funeral will be held Monday, September 19, 2022 for 85-year-old Stanley Buchheit of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. who passed away Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Ste. Genevieve Care Center in Ste. Genevieve, Mo.
He was born July 27, 1937 in Longtown, Mo.
He married Rita (Ringwald) Buchheit on November 5, 1966.
He is survived by his wife: Rita Buchheit of Ste. Genevieve, Mo.; a son: Curt Buchheit of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; daughter: Sue Buchheit (Phil Rizzio) of Peru, Ind.; four sisters: Eleanor Unterreiner of Perryville, Mo., Penny Ruessler of Perryville, Mo., Marcella (Richard) Renner of Perryville, Mo., and Rosella (David) Bohnert of Perryville, Mo.; brother: Glennon (Carol) Buchheit of Perryville, Mo.; a sister-in-law: Ginger Ringwald of Sainte Genevieve, Mo.; grandchildren: Seth, Allison, Sydney, Kate Buchheit and Eras Foerstel.
He was preceded in death by his father: Isidore W. Buchheit; his mother: Hilda (Leible) Buchheit; and her brother-in-law: Matt Ringwald.
He was a member of Knights of Columbus 1037 and Ste. Genevieve Catholic Church. Stanley loved working on the farm, spending time outdoors, hunting and fishing. Most of all he loved to spend time with his family.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, September 18, 2022 at the Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve, Mo. and 8-9:45 a.m. Monday, September 19, 2022.
A funeral for 85-year-old Stanley Buchheit of Sainte Genevieve will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. The Rev. Mitchell Baer will officiate.
Burial will be at Valle Spring Cemetery in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.
