Green Party submits 10,000+ signatures to regain ballot access in Missouri

SAINT LOUIS, Mo. — On Monday, August 1, 2022, the Missouri Green Party submitted over 10,000 ballot access petition signatures from residents in over 90 Missouri counties to the Secretary of State’s office in Jefferson City so as to regain the right to run corporate-free candidates in the Missouri general election this November.  These thousands of Missourians loudly proclaim that the political choices in their state are insufficient to address the challenges facing their communities and humanity more broadly.  They affirm that they want to be able to vote for the one party whose candidates have committed to never take money from wealthy power brokers and are answerable only to the citizens, communities, and voters of Missouri.

These petition signatures were collected by dedicated Green Party volunteers committed to providing a way out of the pay-to-play politics that the Democratic and Republican parties have crafted to prevent democracy from functioning in Missouri and across the nation.

In conjunction with the ballot access petition, these Green Party candidates submitted their candidate declaration forms to appear on the general election ballot in Missouri this November:

US Senate Nathan Kline

State Auditor Paul Lehmann

US 3rd Cong. Dist. Bill Hastings

US 5th Cong. Dist. Sue Edward
