EDWARD “GUS” A. STALLMAN, 43, of Murphysboro, Illinois, passed away at 11:35 am, Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital, Murphysboro, Illinois.
He was born to Edward and April (nee Aspley) Stallman on August 31, 1978 in Chester, Illinois.
Gus started working for Illinois Department of Transportation July 6, 2010. He became the Lead Worker for the Murpysboro yard March 16, 2018.
Gus was baptized at St. John Lutheran Church in Chester and his Godparents were Ron & Jill Arbeiter. He is currently a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Murphysboro, Illinois. He was a life member of the V.F.W. Post #3553 in Chester and a member of Teamster #50 in Murphysboro.
Gus’ pride and joy was his daughter, Coreynne. He enjoyed swimming and shooting basketball with her. He taught himself to play the guitar and had a talent that amazed by all who knew him.
He was a Navy Veteran and had served in Operation Southern Watch during two deployments onboard the USS John C. Stennis.
