JEFFERSON CITY — The number of new COVID-19 cases reported last week is down from the previous week in the state of Missouri,down in Perry County, but up in Ste. Genevieve County.
The CDC reports the number of new confirmed and probable cases in Missouri for the past seven days was 11,728 down 446 from last week’s increase 12,174,
That’s 3.8 percent decline in the number of new COVID-19 cases.
There were 27 new COVID-19 cases last week in Ste. Genevieve County, a 93 percent increase from the 14 recorded the previous week.
There were 27 new cases in Perry County which is down 46 percent from the 50 new cases reported last week.
St. Francois County had 115 new COVID-19 cases in the past seven days. Cape Girardeau had 158 new cases. Bollinger County had 15. Jefferson County had 438.
Ste. Genevieve and Jefferson Counties are at the high community level. Perry, Cape Girardeau and St. Francis are at the medium level.
