Billy G. Sauerhage, 81, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 11:35 pm, Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Three Springs Lodge Nursing Home, Chester, Illinois.
He was born to the late Louis and Lucille (nee Reed) Sauerhage on September 9, 1940 in Menard, Illinois.
Billy married Donna Kempfer on January 30, 1965 at First Baptist Church in Ellis Grove, Illinois.
He worked in the maintenance department at Menard Correctional Center in Chester, Illinois for 25 years.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ellis Grove, Illinois; American Legion Post #487 in Chester, Illinois and AFSCME. He also did car detailing.
