Franklin Bridge restoration may be finished by Wednesday

STE. GENEVIEVE – There was word Thursday that the Franklin Bridge (located just south of the Highway 61 curve in St. Mary) may reopen Wednesday.

This was the scene earlier this week at the bridge site.

An official at the courthouse reported that Keith Simpson, the contractor on the project, anticipates that the bridge will be ‘completely restored’ by then and said there is a ‘possibility’ that the restoration could be finished before then if all goes well.
