JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri Developmental Disabilities Council invites to the public to the Accessible Voting Summit from 3-6 p.m. Wednesday, June 29 at Boone County Family Resources in Columbia. The summit is part of the “Learning with MODDC” series, providing advocacy trainings and education for self-advocates with developmental disabilities. The Accessible Voting Summit will be in-person with a virtual option.
Participants can choose to network with election officials and advocates, learn from voting experts and explore leadership opportunities, view voting machine demonstrations and register to vote. Cookies and refreshments will be available to in-person attendees. Boone County Family Resources, at 2700 W. Ash St. in Columbia, will host the in-person portion of the event.

Accessible Voting Summit Schedule:
- 3-3:30 p.m. – Network with advocates and officials
- 3:30-4 p.m. – “Know Your Rights” Presentation, Denise Lieberman, Missouri Voter Protection Coalition
- 4:15-4:45 p.m. – “Prep for Election Day” Presentation, Brianna Lennon, Boone County Clerk
- 4:45-6 p.m. – Open office hours for checking voter registration, testing accessible equipment, networking and light snacks
Virtual participants will have equal access to all opportunities except testing accessible voting equipment.

The Missouri Developmental Disabilities Council is a federally-funded, 23-member, consumer-driven council appointed by the Governor.
