4-H celebrates end of year with Fall Festival

STE. GENEVIEVE — 4-H members from Ste. Genevieve County celebrated the end of the 2021 4-H year with a Fall Festival Saturday, October 2.

Eleven families attended the event, held at the home of Alvin and Janet Braun.

A family friend, Jim Woelich, set up a teepee along with fur and leather exhibits.

The members were also able to try their hand at leather crafting, creating dream catchers, painting pumpkins, and roasting hot dogs and making ‘smores. They were also treated to a tour of Betty Schremp’s farm.

October is the beginning of the new 4-H year.

4-H is the nation’s largest youth development organization. It provides kids ages 5-18 with experiences in leadership, career exploration, communication, healthy habits and much more.
