Ste. Genevieve city sales tax receipts are up seven percent

STE. GENEVIEVE — So far this year, Ste. Genevieve’s one percent general sales tax has brought in seven percent more revenue that the first four months of 2021.

 

The city’s two other sales taxes brought in a similar percentage increase.

 

The Missouri Department of Revenue recently transferred the April 2022 proceeds to the city’s account at Bloomsdale Bank.

 

April brought in $49,796.33, a $7,134.36 increase over April 2021.

 

So far this year, the sales tax has brought in $234,504.95, a $16,619.55 increase over the first four months of last year.

 

The city’s consolidated city use tax brought in $17,505.75 last month which was up $8,693.01 from April 2021.

 

So far this year, the consolidated city use tax has brought in $69,403.33, an increase of $16,006.62 over the first four months of 2021.
