CHESTER – The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office K9 Gunner has a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a donation from non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc.
K9 Gunner’s vest was sponsored by the James Brockmeyer Memorial Fund and embroidered with the sentiment: “In loving memory of Officer James I. Brockmeyer.”
James Brockmeyer was a Chester Police officer who died in a traffic crash while pursuing a suspect.
