Mississippi River is expected to rise to 34.9 feet by Monday

ST. LOUIS – The National Weather Service in St. Louis has issued a flood warning for the Mississippi River at Chester.

At 11 a.m. Friday the river was at 29.1 feet, 2.1 feet above the 27.0 foot flood stage.

 

The river is expected to rise to a crest of 34.9 feet Monday morning.
