Students compete in art contests

STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve County students were honored recently for their outstanding artwork in contests sponsored by the VFW Post 2210 Auxiliary.


Three students from Ste. Genevieve High School participated in the Young American Creative Patriotic Art Awards!

First place went to senior Maggie Myracle, second place went to sophomore Hannah Woodruff, and third place went to junior Miranda Ponder.

 

Each of the students received a cash prize. Maggie Myracle’s artwork will be forwarded to the district/state level.

Two students from Ste. Genevieve Elementary School won awards in the “Illustrating America” art contest, which is open to grades K – 8. First place went to fourth grader Grace Lipp, and second place went to fifth grader Sydney Nesslein.

 

Both students received a cash prize, and their artwork will be forwarded to the district/state level.

Two students from Ste. Genevieve Middle School were recognized in the “Illustrating America” art contest. First place went to sixth grader Kinsley Bowers, and second place went to sixth grade Cailin Hallin.

 

Four other students won honors in the contest:

1st:  Carter Shuh, 2nd Grade at St. Agnes Catholic School.  Son of Brian and Dana Shuh

2nd:  Lucas Vogt, 2nd Grade at St. Agnes Catholic School.  Son of Adam and Sara Vogt

1st:  Gage Fallert, 5th grade at Valle Catholic School.  Son of Nick and Jamie Fallert

2nd:  Zoey Holt, 5th grade at St. Agnes Catholic School.  Daughter of Jason and Nicky Holt
