Perry County Sheriff reports burglaries

PERRYVLLE – Perry County Sheriff Gary J. Schaaf reports a series of burglaries in the county.

“Perry County has received five reports of Burglary since Thursday morning” he said in a news release, “and that’s highly unusual for this area.”  The burglaries have been reported from Highway T, Highway BB, and a few Perry County roads off of those state highways.  “It seems to be happening in the Western side of Perry County.”

“As much as we can determine, this is happening early in the morning, daylight to 7 or 8 o’clock.  Make sure to lock your valuables up, you car, your outbuildings.  Don’t make it easy for a thief.”

“These are probably the best photos we have,” Sheriff Schaaf stated. “A burglary occurred on Hwy B yesterday morning, which we only seen one suspect and one on Highway T this morning, which one suspect is the same as yesterday and another white male. The vehicle has no license plates. The vehicle is a gray 2014-2016 Kia Soul.  I understand the Ste. Genevieve County Sheriff’s Office has also had burglaries in this area recently.
