STE. GENEVIEVE – The first annual Ste. Genevieve Paddle Battle pickle ball tournament
raised nearly $3,500 for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. The
event hosted by the Ste. Genevieve County Community Center was held March 12
and 13 with about 70 players participating in women’s, men’s and mixed
doubles play.

Pickle ball is best described as a combination of badminton, ping-pong
and tennis and is becoming a fast-growing sport not only in Ste.
Genevieve, but across the country as well.
