JEFFERSON CITY — A four-year-old Perryville girl suffered minor injuries in an ATV accident on private property adjacent to the southbound I-55 in Perry County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the child was taken to Perry County Memorial Hospital for treatment.
A web search turned up this photo of a Vitacci Hawk 6 Kids ATV 110cc. Used for illustration purposes only, the accident vehicle may or may not be similar to this one. Vitacci said on its website “One of the best ATV 4-wheelers for kids and young riders!” The site did not indicate the age range for children operating this vehicle.
The patrol says the crash happened when a 2021 Vitacci Hawk driven by the four-year-old on private property, traveled down an embankment and overturned ejecting the driver on to the roadside of the southbound I-55 at the 133.2 mile marker.
The accident happened about 6 p.m.Thursday.
