Incoming mayor of Independence announces support for Lucas Kunce for U.S. Senate

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. – Fresh off his election victory on Tuesday, incoming Mayor of Independence Rory Rowland is announcing his support for Lucas Kunce in the U.S. Senate race. Independence is the fifth-largest city in Missouri and the hometown of former President Harry Truman.

“Lucas Kunce is willing to fight for working people because he comes from working people,” said incoming Mayor Rowland. “That’s why I’m proud to be in this fight with him. People want someone who shares our Missouri values, who knows what it means to struggle, and who is going to represent this state honorably in the Senate. That’s Lucas Kunce.”

Already in this race, Lucas Kunce has earned the support of Councilwoman Katheryn Shields (Kansas City), Representative Michael Johnson (Kansas City), Mayor Reggie Jones (City of Dellwood), Kansas City entrepreneur Charlie Lowe, and Councilman Terry Wilson (City of Jennings) and from a number of Representative Rasheen Aldridge Jr. (St. Louis), St. Louis County Councilwoman Shalonda Webb, Bellefontaine Neighbors Mayor Tommie Pierson Sr., St. Louis Alderwoman Shameem Clark Hubbard, and St. Louis Alderman John Collins-Muhammad Jr.

He’s also earned endorsements from VoteVets, League of Conservation Voters, Progressive Change Campaign Committee, No Dem Left Behind, Taking the Hill, and We Have the People.
