STE. GENEVIEVE – Recently, Ste. Genevieve Middle School students in Rhett Oldham’s World History class enjoyed collaborating with Ste. Genevieve Elementary School students on one important skill: coloring!
The eighth grade students were learning about Charlemagne and the Frankish Kingdom, and the students used a tool called Doodle Notes, where students color historical figures and places as they take notes.
To ensure that proper coloring techniques were employed, students from the three kindergarten classes evaluated the color techniques of the eighth grade students using a scoring guide.
Students who passed all three categories were given a sticker by their kindergarten teachers.
This was an excellent example of collective efficacy and cooperative learning between grades and disciplines where teachers collaborate and create lesson ideas for students of multiple ages!
