Trollinger selected to play with Intercollegiate Wind Ensemble

HILLSBORO – Jefferson College sophomore music student Bryce Trollinger of Sainte Genevieve has been selected to perform with the Intercollegiate Wind Ensemble for the Southwest Division of College Band Directors National Association in Waco, Texas, March 30-April 2.

He will join some of the best college musicians from the states of Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. The conductor of the group is one of the top wind conductors in the country.

Trollinger plays lead trumpet in the Jefferson College Wind Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble. He recently auditioned and was selected as a professional musician for the U.S. Marine Band.

He will graduate from Jefferson College in May with an Associate of Fine Arts degree in Music and begin his new job with the Marine band this summer.

This is the first time that a Jefferson College student will perform at this level with a national or regional ensemble.
