COVID-19 numbers fall in Perry, Ste. Genevieve Counties and statewide

JEFFERSON CITY — The number of new COVID-19 cases is down in the state of Missouri and down in Ste. Genevieve and Perry Counties according to the latest figures from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services.

 

The state agency reports the number of confirmed and probable cases statewide for the seven days ending March 15 was 1,717, down 540 or 23 percent from the 2,257 reported for the week ending March 8.

 

In Perry County there was only one new case, down six or 85 percent from the  seven reported during the week ending March 8.

 

In Ste. Genevieve County there was one new case during the week ending March 15, which was down one or 50 percent from the two reported during the week ending March 8.

 

The Department of Health and Senior Services reports the state vaccination rate is 56.4 percent. Perry County is 40.7 percent vaccinated and Ste. Genevieve County is 46.7 percent vaccinated.
