Sarah Cato resigns her positions at St. Vincent Catholic Schools

PERRYVILLE — St. Vincent Head of Schools and Junior/Senior High Principal Sarah Cato is stepping down, to become the high school principal at Oak Ridge R-VI.

In a letter posted to the SV Tribe Facebook page, Cato says she has “been honored to be a part of (St. Vincent’s) unique culture, witness to powerful student achievement and Catholic identity.”

She says she feels the past year has been successful and adds “Teachers collaborated and united the two schools. We have started to analyze data and have been through the Cognia accreditation process. I have gotten to know and evaluate many talented teachers.”

Cato noted that the “community has embraced my family and I, for which I will be forever grateful.”

Cato concludes by asking the St. Vincent community to “keep my family in your prayers during this time of transition and know that SV will always have a place in my heart!”

Cato did not indicate when she would be leaving St. Vincent and when she would be assuming her new position at Oak Ridge.
