A funeral will be held Friday, March 18, 2022 for 91-year-old Virginia L. Malott of Red Bud, Illinois, who passed away at 11:23 p.m., Sunday, March 13, 2022 at Red Bud Regional Hospital, Red Bud, Illinois.
She was born January 9, 1931 in Malden, Mo. to Bogus and Gertrude (nee Dodd) Greenfield who both preceded her in death.
She married James Harley Malott in 1949; he preceded her in death on September 26, 1998.
She is survived by two children: Dennis Malott of Red Bud, Ill. and Laura (Steven) Mattingly of Prairie du Rocher, Ill.; a daughter-in-law: Brenda Malott of Red Bud; three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son: Gary “Mo” Malott a sister and a brother.
She had worked in the housekeeping department at Adorers of the Blood of Christ in Ruma, Illinois.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Prairie du Rocher.
Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Friday at the Pechacek Funeral Home in Red Bud.

Interment will be in the Red Bud City Cemetery in Red Bud.
