Alvin Pershing Morrison, 74, of Frohna, Missouri entered eternity surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, October 29, 2026.
Alvin was born August 8, 1952 in Uniontown, MO to Chalmer Morrison and Flora (Meinz) Morrison. He enjoyed growing up on the farm until he and his family moved to Perryville when he was 8 years old. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He graduated from Perryville High School in 1970.
Alvin married the love of his life, Denise Grebing on June 14, 1975 at Concordia Lutheran Church, Frohna where he was a member until his passing.
The joys of Alvin’s life were his children, grandchildren and his John Deere tractors. “Papa” got great pleasure from giving the littles “Gator” and tractor rides around the farm.
Before retirement, Alvin was a mechanic and truck driver. He loved the art of transportation!
Survivors include his wife, Denise, two children, Robert (Kristen) Morrison of Jackson, MO, Kathy (Jon) Strelow of St. Charles, MO; four grandchildren, Journie (T.J) Neely, Koltin Morrison, Ava Strelow, Henry Stelow; sister, Mary (Mike) Ratty; sister-in-law, Tammy Morrison; mother-in-law, Mildred Grebing; two brothers-in-law, Kent (Carla) Grebing, Mike (Donna) Hicks and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins and his beloved dog, Buddy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Glen Morrison; sister-in-law, Rhonda Grebing; father-in-law, Clarence Grebing.
Visitation for Alvin will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, November 2, 2026 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna and will continue from 8:00 am to 9:50 am on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 at the church.
Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am Tuesday, November 3, 2026 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna with Rev. Lawton Thompson officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Concordia Lutheran Church.
