PERRYVILLE, MO – Missouri’s National Veterans Memorial (MNVM) invites the public to
join in a special Veterans Day ceremony on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, at 11:30 a.m.,
featuring the official dedication of the Gold Star Families Memorial Monument on the Memorial’s
campus in Perryville, Missouri.
This meaningful occasion will honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice
in service to our nation while recognizing the families who carry their memories, sacrifices, and
legacies forward. The Gold Star Families Memorial Monument will serve as a permanent tribute
to the families of our nation’s fallen heroes, providing a place for remembrance, reflection, and
healing. The Veterans Day ceremony will include remarks from Gold Star family members, a
ceremonial wreath laying, and the official unveiling of the monument.
MNVM extends its sincere appreciation to the Woody Williams Foundation, whose mission to
honor and recognize Gold Star Families has made a lasting impact on communities across the
nation. Through this meaningful partnership, MNVM is proud to bring a Gold Star Families
Memorial Monument to the Heartland, ensuring these families have a dedicated place of honor
and remembrance. MNVM also gratefully recognizes the contractors and community partners
whose expertise, dedication, and contributions helped bring this monument to life: Kiefner Bros
Inc., Duane Ernst Construction, Dryer Electric, Rob Roy Nursery, and SWT Design. Their
commitment to this project reflects the strong community support that continues to make the
mission of Missouri’s National Veterans Memorial possible.
