PERRYVILLE, Mo. — From helping prepare the next generation of IT professionals to showcasing the skilled trades, Ranken Technical College is putting technical education in the spotlight in Perryville on Tuesday, Oct. 20.

Ranken will host two events that highlight its commitment to local students, industry partnerships and career opportunities: an equipment donation to the Perryville Area Career Technology Center and a community open house at Ranken Southeast, featuring a newly renovated electrical shop.
Supporting the Next Generation of IT Professionals
When: Tuesday, Oct. 20, at 1 p.m.
Where: Perryville Area Career Technology Center, 326 College St., Perryville
Ranken’s IT department, led by instructor Mike Stuesse, will donate equipment to the Career Technology Center’s IT class, giving students additional resources to support their hands-on learning.
The donation reflects Ranken’s growing partnership with the school and its shared commitment to helping students develop the technical knowledge and practical skills needed to pursue careers in information technology.
Explore the Trades at Ranken Southeast’s Open House
When: Tuesday, Oct. 20, from 3 to 6 p.m.
Where: Ranken Southeast, 1907 N. Perryville Blvd., Perryville
Curious about what it takes to build a career in the skilled trades? The community is invited to step inside Ranken Southeast for an open house featuring tours of the campus’s shops and labs, including its newly renovated electrical shop.
The electrical shop improvements were made possible through donations from Buchheit and Echo Electric. Representatives from both companies will attend the open house, along with Ranken alumni, current students and faculty members.
Visitors will have an opportunity to see the facilities where students gain practical, career-focused experience, meet people connected to Ranken’s programs, and learn more about the training and opportunities available through technical education.
Media Invited
Members of the media are welcome at both events. Opportunities for photos, video and interviews include the IT equipment handoff at 1 p.m. and tours of the renovated electrical shop during the afternoon open house.
