William “Paul” Kaempfe

William “Paul” Kaempfe, 86, of Farrar, Missouri died Sunday, October 4, 2026 at Chateau Girardeau.

 

He was born May 10, 1940 in Perry County, MO to the late Alfred E. and Esther Koenig Kaempfe.

 

He and Elaine Miesner were married May 11, 1963 at Salem Lutheran Church.

 

Paul served in the Unites States Army and the National Guard.

 

He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church.  He was servant of God and gladly served Him through various offices for both the church and the school.

 

Paul was a Farmer of Hogs, Dairy Cattle, and Row Crops and spent endless hours and days tending to them. He was a member of the American Legion #133, the Missouri Farm Bureau, and served on the board for the Bois Brule Levee District. Paul never met a stranger and could tell a story like no other. He enjoyed playing and watching baseball especially the St. Louis Cardinals as well as traveling to scenic areas with his family  He was proud of all of his children and grandchildren and followed them to numerous sporting events and enjoyed their visits. 

 

Survivors include his wife Elaine, one son, Mark (Lisa) Kaempfe; three daughters, Denise (Daniel) Campbell, Lisa Kaempfe, and Renee Kaempfe; one brother, Dennis (Maevis) Kaempfe; one sister-in-law, Norma Kaempfe; five grandchildren, Tyson (Laura) Campbell, Brandon (Jess) Campbell, Makayla (Tanner) Kulpa, Stratton Kaempfe, and Delainey Kaempfe; as well as seven great-grandchildren, Reese, Merrick, Emersyn, Bo, Quinn, and Colt Campbell, and Hudson Kulpa.

 

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Delvin Kaempfe; one sister, Margaret (Richard) Weber; one brother-in-law Norman Miesner; and one sister-in-law Marilyn Seabaugh.

 

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 8, 2026 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville. Visitation will continue from 9:00 am to 10:20 am Friday, October 9, 2026 at Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar.

 

Funeral Service will be at 10:30 am Friday, October 9, 2026 at Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar with the Rev. Steven Theiss officiating.

 

Burial will be at Salem Lutheran Cemetery in Farrar.
