– Ste. Genevieve County R-II School District recently received a Halligan Entry Tool donated by the United States Deputy Sheriffs’ Association to support school safety and emergency response efforts.
A Halligan tool is a multipurpose forcible-entry tool commonly used by law enforcement, firefighters and other emergency responders. The donated equipment provides SG R-II school resource officers with an additional resource that can be used to quickly gain access to an area during an emergency when necessary.
SG R-II SROs Officer Christy Clark and Officer Nick Cusanelli accepted the tool on behalf of the district.
The district appreciates the United States Deputy Sheriffs’ Association for its generous donation and its support of law enforcement officers serving school communities.
SG R-II continually works alongside its school resource officers and local emergency response partners to review safety procedures and strengthen resources available to help protect students and staff.
