Robert Dale Huber, 87, of Perryville, passed away on Sep. 29 surrounded by the love of his life, Jackie (wife for 65 years) and his entire family. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, and a friend in the truest sense of the word.
Bob was the kind of man who would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it, and he often did. He was never short on words, whether he was telling a story, offering advice, or making sure you knew exactly where he stood. To so many, he was a mentor and a guide, the first person you called when life got hard. His loyalty was unwavering, and he was always ready to stand up for the people he loved. Avid outdoorsman his entire life. He enjoyed several hobbies, most notably golf!
He is survived by his wife, Jackie; his children, Robin Sims, Paula (Greg) Seabaugh, Todd (Debra) Huber; grandchildren Rocky Huber, Maggie Barron, Katie Cissell, Jason Huber, Kyle (Heather) Triller, Nicole (Bryan) Sargent, Landon Huber, great grandchildren, Jazlyn, Rocky Jr, Jackson, Millie, Landon, Beckham, Adeline, Allie, Nora, baby Sargent on the way and his sister-in-law Cheryl Huber.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Trula Huber, brothers Lee, Tommy, Mike, sister Pat and special family friend Lynn Richardet.
He will be deeply missed, and his example will live on in everyone he lifted up.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, October 2, 2026 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am Saturday, October 3, 2026 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville with Rev. Joe Geders C.M. officiating.
Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Journey Hospice as an act of kindness in his honor.
